Explanation

The minimum radius of bend is the sharpest (smallest-radius) bend that can be formed in a given material and thickness without cracking the outer fibres or critically weakening the part. Bending tighter than this overstretches the outside surface; a generous or maximum radius is safe but is not the limiting case the question describes.
