Operating thrust reversers at low ground speeds can sometimes cause
- sand or other foreign object ingestion, hot gas re-ingestion.
- hot gas re-ingestion, compressor stalls.
- sand or other foreign object ingestion, hot gas re-ingestion, compressor stalls.
Explanation
At low ground speed the reversed efflux is no longer carried clear of the intake, so it can recirculate into the engine. This causes hot gas re-ingestion (raising intake temperature), stirs up sand and debris for foreign-object ingestion, and the disturbed, hot inlet air can trigger compressor stalls. All three effects can occur.

Hi to everybody. Could u tell me why the compressor stalls in this case? thank
