The purpose of using reverse pitch propellers is to
- provide aerodynamic breaking.
- allow aircraft to taxi backwards.
- reverse the direction of rotation of the propeller.
Explanation
Reverse pitch turns the blades to a negative angle so the propeller thrust acts rearward, giving aerodynamic braking that shortens the landing roll. It does not reverse the propeller's direction of rotation, and although taxiing backwards is possible its primary purpose is deceleration after landing.

isnt the B also right?
