Module 8. Basic aerodynamics

With increasing altitude the angle at which a wing will stall

  • remains the same.
  • reduces with altitude.
  • increases with altitude.

Explanation

The stalling angle of attack is a geometric property of the aerofoil, set by the point where the airflow separates from the upper surface. It depends on the wing's shape, not on air density, so it does not change with altitude. The indicated stalling speed in level flight stays constant, but the stall angle itself remains the same.

why?

Why not? Stall angle of attack is constant for wing.

becz at the same angle of attack the aircraft stalls so after critical angle of attack the aircraft will stall at any altitude
