In a heat pump
- the compressor loses heat.
- the condenser loses heat.
- the evaporator loses heat.
Explanation
In the refrigeration cycle the condenser is where high-pressure refrigerant rejects its latent heat to the surroundings as it changes from vapour to liquid. The evaporator absorbs heat and the compressor adds energy, so the heat-losing component is the condenser.

Can anyone explain this? I always feel that heat pumps always gain heat during heating

Elevated temperature doesn't means gaining heat energy, but easily to dissipate heat, thus losses heat.
