Module 8. Basic aerodynamics

Weight is equal to

  • mass * acceleration.
  • mass * gravity.
  • volume * gravity.

Explanation

Weight is the force of gravity on a body, equal to its mass multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity. Mass times a general acceleration gives any force by Newton's second law, but weight specifically uses gravitational acceleration; volume is irrelevant to the calculation.

61478939 asking:

gravity=mass×acceleration which is 9.8m/s*s,the correct should be A

Hello.

You are wrong. Weight = mass * gravity. http://www.gcse.com/eb/gtest.htm
Mass * acceleration equals force, so answer A is wrong.
