Module 17. Propeller
Electrical power supplies on large aircraft, for electrical deicing are
•  Both AC or DC.
•  DC.
•  AC.

obrien99 asking:
•  Is this correct? I thought some turbo props used AC wild for electrical de icing. i'm sure the key to this question is "large aircraft" i assume this would be aircraft over 7500kg.

Hey Obrien!

Sorry for late reply. I agree with you, I marked AC as right answer instead of DC.

Larger aircraft use 115 V AC variable frequency power supply. Smaller aircraft use a 28 V DC power supply.

Actually i take that back. the key word here in the above Q is LARGE AIRCRAFT. larger aircraft use 115 AC while smaller aircraft uses 28 VDC. so for this question the answer would be .AC
